Two Months Old and ALL SMILES!!!!

 

Chloe is now two months old, weighs 10 lbs. and is 21.5 inches long. She got a fabulous report from her pediatrician, Dr. Noah Simons, and is right on track. She survived four shots (Mommy cried more than brave little Chloe) and is thriving. One of our favorite new developments is Chloe's smile (captured almost perfectly in the pic above, although it is even better in person). Her smile melts our hearts every time... even at 4 a.m.!

Cousins Play Dates

John was in DC this week for work, so Chloe and I stayed in the East Bay and got some good QT with our cousins and aunties. We went to the park, took long walks, and spent lots of time playing with our babies (both real and pretend!)... So much fun!

Weekend with the Walsh Family

We spent this past weekend hanging with one of our favorite families, the Walsh crew. Meghan and I were roommates at BC and have remained close friends. Meghan came up from L.A. with her husband, Dan (who we LOVE) and their two kids, Daniel and Kimberly (who are ADORABLE), and we all spent the weekend at Rancho Relaxo. All I Need is Love...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!! Chloe celebrated the big day by having lunch with mommy and her good friend, Heidi, in Cole Valley. She was all dressed up in hearts and proudly sported a new "V-day" onesie from Auntie Julie. John and I took up the oh so gracious babysitting offer from Auntie Julie and Uncle Ryan and headed out to one of our favorite restaurants in SF, Bong Su, to celebrate eight glorious weeks of parenthood. We had an amazing meal and spent the night marveling at how happy we are now that Chloe is in our lives. It was such a gift to have a night alone to focus back on each other. Meanwhile, Chloe got some good hug time with Uncle Ry... who is still wondering if she is sleeping through the night yet. (ha, ha)

Valentine's Day Lunch with Poppo

This year, Chloe and I participated in what has become a Briggs family annual tradition... a special Valentine's day lunch with Poppo (my dad)! We all went down to Santa Clara University and had a fun picnic on the campus grounds. We were joined by Auntie Eileen and Cousin Mia and Auntie Lizzie and Cousins Maddie & Jack. It was quite a crew and we had a wonderful time. And, of course, the kids were all decked out in their best V-day gear!! Chloe even had hearts on her tights :-)

Ash Wednesday

We celebrated the beginning of the season of Lent this year by attending Ash Wednesday services at our church, St. Agnes (where Jen & John got married in 2004). We met Auntie Lizzie, Cousins Maddie & Jack and our friend Gina, who brought her adorable daughters, Mackenzie and Sadie. Chloe received ashes for the first time and we said extra prayers of thanksgiving for the many ways in which our lives are blessed. Please know that we are keeping all of our family and friends in our thoughts and prayers during this special time of reflection and anticipation.

 

 

 

 

Chloe's First Election Day!

 

 

Chloe took part in her very first election - Super Tuesday 2008 - by going to the polls with me and casting our vote for Senator Barack Obama!! John had been working hard as the Cole Valley Precinct Captain for the OBAMA campaign, so we were glad to do our part to support this great effort. GO OBAMA!!
